Finding a little inspiration.

Life sure has been different since March.   Although I enjoy time by myself, I am mostly an extrovert.  Social distancing, wearing masks, and staying at home has been quite discouraging for me at times.

However, I believe in remaining positive and try to find ways to make each day count.   Since I am mostly staying at home now,  I am constantly looking for ways to improve my surroundings.  I look for inspiration wherever I can.

I happened to watch a video, IvyKitchen, and was so inspired that I thought I’d share.  It’s about a woman who shares her life by showing her daily routine and how she creates delicious food for her family.  It’s calming and serene to watch her go about her day.  Her food preparation looks simple but delicious.  Although her videos are in Korean, you can get the gist of what she’s making with the English subtitles.  I always learn something new and find myself enjoying being at home more each day.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

How are you being inspired?

  1. I feel the same way, this year is a whole new ball game isn’t it? I think I’ve finally come to terms that this entire year is a write off… lol! Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll check out her channel! I’ve been reading a lot & enjoying sitting outside in the sunshine while it lasts!

    1. Hi Carla!
I want to start ramping up my reading, and I’m just now looking for some good fiction. Have any recommendations? I’m writing off 2020 too, it’s a great time to be experimenting in the kitchen, and enjoying the down time that we all seem to crave when things are crazy. (I’m also making your bread recipe!) Are you blogging these days? I miss talking to you. :).

  2. Thanks for introducing me to IvyKitchen. I just watched the video on her channel with the homemade pizza. I agree that finding pleasure in the small, daily things of life is more important now than ever before. Today, a friend dropped off a fabulous gift of extra fresh produce from her garden and farm fresh eggs. I decided to use one of the zucchini to make zucchini bread. Now that it’s just the 2 of us, I don’t bake anymore but I will tell you that today I found so much pleasure in the process of measuring, mixing and baking. Hubby and I just enjoyed a couple of warm slices of fresh bread with butter!
Other things I’ve been finding joy in – – early morning walks, listening to podcasts, reading and watching a new to us series on Netflix.

    1. Please share the series! I’m always looking for new things to watch.😉. You also should start up your blog again. I would love to add that to my reading list.😊
